Football Football : General >Equipments> Best Players Best Football Players Montana Jeo Joseph Clifford Montana, (born June 11, 1956). He is one of only two quarterbacks who have won four Super Bowls. Montana is considered the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL. His nickname, Joe Cool, was given to him because of his calm and cool nature on the field under all the intense pressure situations. Montana posted impressive statistics, and led his teams to multiple NFL championships. He is the only player to win 3 Super Bowl MVP awards. In his 4 Super Bowl appearances, Montana never threw an interception or lost a fumble. He was even the first player in league history to win 2 consecutive Associated Press MVP awards, which he did for the 1989 and 1990 seasons. In 1990 he received Sports Illustrated magazine's "Sportsman of the Year" award, and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000. Elway John John Albert Elway, Jr. (born June 28, 1960) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). John holds many college and some professional records. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and is the only quarterback to have started in five Super Bowls. Marino Dan Daniel Constantine Marino Jr. (born September 15, 1961) is a Hall of Fame quarterback who played for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. The last quarterback of the legendary Quarterback Class of 1983 to be taken, Marino holds or held almost every serious NFL passing record and, despite never being on a Super Bowl-winning team, is widely recognized as one of the greatest (and most prolific) quarterbacks in American football history. Remembered particularly for having a quick release and a powerful arm, Marino drove the Dolphins into numerous playoffs. |
